You know those bars on your cell phone that tell you how strong your signal is? Nine years ago I noticed that our grandchildren could be lined up by height to resemble those bars. I took the picture and posted it on January 5, 2008. I posted a second bars picture on January 8, 2011, a couple years after our youngest grandchild Margaret was born. In March, 2014, our son Mark took his whole family to Phoenix where he got together with Melissa and her family, and he took a bars picture, which I posted on March 29.

So I present to you above our fourth bars picture taken at Watercolor Beach, Florida, last month. Left to right are Margaret (8), John Michael (12), Savannah (just turned 21), Ian (18), and Jackson (15 next month). As you can see, Savannah's previously dominant position as the right bar has been overtaken by both Ian and Jackson. As to who should actually be in the right position, Ian or Jackson, it's a tossup. We wonder just how far Savannah's slide to the left will continue.

And speaking of Savannah, she celebrated her 21st birthday this past Tuesday. Yes, we did call and sing the birthday song. But it doesn't hurt to wish her another happy birthday. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Savannah.
