Shortly after taking the group picture of our entire family, which I posted last week, I lined the grandkids up in front of Mark's tree at his home in Birmingham and took this picture. From left to right: (Mark's two) John Michael and Jackson and (Melissa's two) Ian and Savannah. A little later, with Melissa's family plus Jackson, we piled into our van and returned to Huntsville where we spent the next five days playing with our Christmas gifts and enjoying each other's company. Mark brought the rest of his family to Huntsville last Saturday for a one-day visit and to join us for a wonderful meal put together by Nancy, which included a stuffed chicken roll with all the trimmings.

On New Year's Eve, last Monday, we returned to Birmingham with Melissa's family, visited for a short time at Mark's, and then drove to the Birmingham airport where Melissa, Treacey, Savannah and Ian boarded an airplane for their return flight to Phoenix. Nancy and I really enjoyed having the whole family together for Christmas. Our grandchildren are really becoming quite interesting and fun to be with. Each has a very unique personality, but they blended nicely and played well together.
