Last weekend our son Mark flew, with his whole family, to Phoenix, Arizona, for a conference of orthodontists. It wasn't all work. They took in 2 spring training baseball games and a Phoenix Suns basketball game.

Since our daughter Melissa lives in Mesa, the two families were able to get together last Sunday. So here are pictures of our two kids and all of our grandchildren. Above are pictured, left to right, Margaret (5), John Michael (8), Jackson (11), Savannah (17), and Ian (15). This is the latest version of my "Bars" pictures. The earliest version was taken in December, 2007. "Bars II" was shot exactly 3 years later. And now, after 3 more years, there's been a slight change in the line-up. Ian is now the tallest bar. Nancy and I expect Savannah to move into the middle for our next "Bars" shot. It looks like Jackson might just overtake her in 3 years.

In case you're wondering; Jackson swam into the side of a swimming pool, face first. We had an interesting conversation with him a few days ago where he tried to describe exactly how it happened. That explains the scratches on his face.

To the right are our 2 kids. We are glad they were able to get together with a good time had by all.
