On Thursday Nancy returned home from the surgery I described a couple weeks ago, which was followed by 13 days in the rehab hospital. She used the chairlift to get into the house from the garage. Before the surgery she could climb the steps. I snapped this picture as she was about to step into the kitchen. There's another one just like it in the archive from 2 years ago. We're hoping for no more.

Monday we begin the next phase of her recovery, outpatient physical therapy. I bet it won't be too long before she can climb those steps without the chairlift.
