A Visit to Gorham's Bluff

Last Sunday we drove about 60 miles into the mountains of northeast Alabama to a resort area called Gorham's Bluff. We went to see the view and hear an outdoor concert featuring my classical guitar instructor. The bluff overlooks the Tennessee River, and the view itself is worth the trip. We enjoyed a fine lunch in the lodge, walked around the grounds finding time to take the picture above, and then headed over to the amphitheater. If you roll your mouse over the picture above, it'll flip to the musicians that entertained us for a couple of hours in the late afternoon. They call themselves the Classical-Blues Cabaret with Microwave Dave (electric guitar), Phil Weaver (center on the classical guitar), and Ingrid von Spakovsky (keyboard). In all, we had a fun day.
