As I recall, I first met Susan at my wedding reception in Gallitzin's St. Mary's church hall. She's Nancy's cousin, and by the time I carried Nancy from the reception to the car, Susan and I were friends. I spent several unsuccessful hours yesterday trying to find a picture of her at the reception that I could include with the one above. She probably wouldn't want me to post a "then" picture anyhow.

In the first week of April, Nancy and I traveled to Pennsylvania to visit Nancy's Mother and Aunt. When we got there, we found out that Susan's younger son, Derek, was having a confirmation party. Since Nancy's Mom and Aunt were invited, we decided to tag along and crash the party. I guess that I can count on one hand the number of times we've seen her since our wedding reception.

This picture was taken in Susan's kitchen during the celebration. Susan's husband, Brian, is on the left. Derek is next to Susan, and her older son, Nick, is on the right. We enjoyed the get-together and hope that we don't allow years to go by before visiting her again.
