As our kids grew out of their T-shirts, which they wore in celebration of everything from a volleyball state championship to playing in an orchestra, their mother put each one aside, saving them for a future project. Last summer the time had come. Nancy turned Melissa's T-shirts into a quilt (I made that sound easy, didn't I?!!) in time to present it to her this past Christmas. Shortly after that, she began working with Mark's T-shirts, and this past weekend she gave the finished quilt to Mark as a birthday present. Nancy put a lot of time in working on these quilts creating something of value for each of our children...something that should bring back good memories for many years to come.
