The day after Nancy returned home from the hospital; Jenny, Margaret, and John Michael drove up from Birmingham for a visit and a soccer tournament. Margaret and her team from Vestavia Hills played 2 games on Saturday and 1 more on Sunday, and in between, we all had fun times together. Before they took off on Sunday afternoon, I snapped this picture.

This week Nancy showed definite signs of recovering from her recent back surgery. She actually enjoyed her 2 rounds of physical therapy and is planning to continue. We walked in the neighborhood a couple times, but the rain kept her off the sidewalks for the last several days.

I'm getting back in the swing of cooking for two after a couple of weeks of eating by myself. Our neighbor Pat brought dinner to the house a couple evenings ago. That was much appreciated. Otherwise, we're just working to get back to some semblance of normal.
