Our daughter Melissa and her husband Chris flew into Huntsville on Nancy's birthday last week. On Sunday we all jumped into the car and drove to Birmingham to visit our son Mark and his family. Together again, we snapped the picture above to commemorate the event. After lunch Jenny brought out a cake to celebrate Nancy's birthday. Mark then demonstrated his newly refined ability to cut a cake. But not until we all sang the birthday song.

At our house we spent lots of time talking about jobs, kids, and travel. On Monday Melissa and Chris drove to Lynchburg, TN, to tour the Jack Daniel's distillery. They both had to admit that THAT was impressive. On Tuesday they boarded an airplane and returned to Gilbert, AZ. We enjoyed their company. Thanks for dropping by.
