Last Sunday we drove half way to Birmingham, met Jenny at Jack's in Blountsville, and returned to Huntsville with our granddaughter Margaret. We did it again on Thursday to return Margaret. But while she was with us, it was craft week. Nancy and Margaret made necklaces, painted fingernails, and most importantly baked an apple pie. Important because Margaret had requested to learn to bake a pie with a lattice top. After that they did a little shopping. I did get involved. I helped with the shopping, ate a bit of the apple pie, and walked with Margaret around the little lakes near our home so she could feed the ducks and the geese. We all had a good time at Camp Grandma and Paw Paw.

This past week included the July 4th holiday, which is also our daughter Melissa's birthday. We called her at her home in Arizona and, as is our custom, sang the birthday song. So, one more time, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Melissa.
