...the mice will play. Toward the end of last week, Mark and Jenny made a quick trip to New York to watch several matches in the US Open Tennis Tournament. They left the kids with Jenny's dad. So Saturday before noon we drove to Birmingham, picked up the kids, and enjoyed a quick lunch and visit at Newk's Eatery. Sitting next to Nancy are Margaret (9) and Jackson (16). John Michael (13) is standing in the background. We had a nice lunch and enjoyed our time, as we always do, with the kids.

Aside: not trusting the Post Office with Jackson's birthday gift again, we hand carried it to Birmingham and delivered it in person. He's wearing it in the picture above.

I played in a bridge tournament all day Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. When I got home last evening, I was too tired to post anything on my web site. It's Sunday morning right now, so I'm a day late. As for the tournament, we did OK.
