My Mother's Birthday

Last weekend I put off posting anything until Sunday because we had a house full of company, and I completely forgot that last Saturday was my Mom's birthday. She was born 106 years ago, the last of 6 children. I thought instead of just "remembering" Mom on her special day, I'd throw in her sister and 4 brothers. Aunt Betty is the one, other than Mom, that I remember the best. I spent most of my summers as a kid on her farm in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania. I visited Uncle George one time in Panama in the early 60s. Uncle Bill was a police detective in New York. He lived on Long Island. Uncle Jack lived in Kentucky. I'm not sure where Uncle Bus (Charles) called home.

They're all gone now, but it's good to remember them every now and then.

We've been scanning old pictures. This is one of them. I couldn't tell you who used a computer to put the words at the bottom of this digital picture. I might have, but I just don't remember. Obviously they were added many years after the picture was taken, which I'm guessing was sometime in the late 40s or early 50s. In any event, a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my Mother.
