Weekly Challenge

A few weeks ago, the Huntsville Times began carrying a "Sudoku Triple" in the Friday edition of the paper. This is Nancy's favorite form of the Sudoku puzzles. She looks forward each Friday to accepting the challenge and completing the puzzle, which she does with a flair and a smile.

On a more somber note, on Thursday I attended a memorial for a friend and co-worker, Earl Talley. I knew him at Teledyne Brown as a competent, reliable engineer. I knew him in retirement as a member of our group, Retired Old Men Eating Out (ROMEO). I was NOT with him when, after he retired, he WALKED the ENTIRE Appalachian Trail from Springer Mountain in Georgia to Mount Katahdin in Maine. I have listened to stories about that walk on many occasions. I never tired of hearing about his days and nights in the mountains. Rest in peace, Earl.
