Wednesday morning we were preparing to leave the house to run some errands when our plans were cut short. Last week I posted a picture of the city workers ripping the asphalt off our street. We had no idea when they were going to return, but we were pretty sure that when they did, we would be restricted to the house during paving operations. So, Wednesday morning, after I saw the asphalt trucks rolling in, we decided to stay home. We made a good choice because they didn't finish the circle until well into the late afternoon. I took this picture from our front porch just before the paver rolled across the entrance to our driveway.

I've been wondering if we should take credit for the whole operation. We heard that Domino's is funding road repairs to "Protect" their pizzas, so we happened to mention the state of disrepair of our circle when we bought our last pizza. Next thing you know, we have a brand new street. ;-)
