Several weeks ago, Nancy's occupational therapist said that she thought it would be OK for Nancy to start driving again. The last time she was behind the wheel of our Ford Escape was about 6 months ago in Pennsylvania. So yesterday, after we dined on Uncle Maddio's pizza, I turned over control of the car to Nancy, and she drove around this parking lot for about 10 minutes. I won't say that she wasn't the least bit nervous, but it took a little extra effort to get her to park directly in front of Target where the traffic was much more congested than you see in the picture above. We're expecting lots of rain this weekend, so it'll probably be a couple days before she gets another chance to drive. But we'll have her comfortably on the highways soon.
