Last September, while Nancy was in HealthSouth Hospital, I installed a chair lift on the steps from the garage into the house. Since coming home at the end of September, Nancy has used that chair lift to go up and down those steps. Last week she walked up for the first time. Not down, yet. But up is a good start. Actually, I think the only reason she doesn't walk down the steps is there's no railing on the other side. Thanks to our brother-in-law Karl, who installed the one you can see in the picture above, she's at least able to walk up the steps.
