Margaret is Nine

Last Sunday morning Nancy and I drove to Birmingham to visit Mark, Jenny, and the kids. It marked our first time out of Huntsville since Nancy's accident last August. We didn't stay long returning home before dinner time. Nonetheless, we did get away for a few hours.

The purpose of our visit was to help celebrate our granddaughter Margaret's ninth birthday, which was on Valentine's Day this past Wednesday. Margaret is the short one in the middle of the picture. She's all dressed up for her piano recital that was scheduled for later that day. Looking at the picture right now I realize that I should have worn my blue shirt.

The only downside to the visit was that Margaret's older brother Jackson was sick, and he stayed upstairs, away from his grandparents, for the entire time. Otherwise we had a nice lunch with the family and a pleasant visit with everyone else.

Last night we attended a concert by the Center City Brass Quintet. That was a first also. We missed a few this season.

A belated happy Valentine's Day to all and a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our granddaughter Margaret.
