Our grandson Ian (19) wrapped up his summer vacation by flying into Huntsville from Mesa, Arizona, last Saturday evening. We spent that evening just catching up. Ian is about to be a sophomore at Arizona State where he is enrolled in their mechanical engineering program. However, I think we spent more time talking about his part time job as an Applebee's cook than his time at ASU.

On Sunday we drove to Birmingham so Ian (yellow shirt) could visit with his cousins Jackson (16 in a couple weeks), Margaret (9), and John Michael (13) all pictured above with Nancy and me. For the record John Michael was playing tennis when the original picture was taken, so I photoshopped him into this picture from one I took later. Right. I know... fake news. Yes, Ian did spend time with Aunt Jenny and Uncle Mark.

We had a very nice visit with Ian. He returned to Arizona on Wednesday. We ate out a lot while he was here and managed to find a new restaurant, at least new to us, to add to our list of best places to dine. We did NOT eat at Applebee's.

On Thursday Jenny drove to Huntsville to drop off Margaret for her annual visit to Camp Grandma and Paw Paw. Margaret's still here, but more about that next week.
