Our grandson Jackson turned 16 on Wednesday. I'll bet you can guess the first thing he did Wednesday morning. Especially since he posed for this picture with his new driver's license. He promises that he's going to be a responsible driver, so it won't be necessary for me to alert the rest of Alabama to a new danger on our highways.

Nancy and I put together a birthday package for Jackson, and I took it to the post office on Monday. It was supposed to arrive just in time for his birthday, but it didn't. When I checked the tracking, I was informed that the package was being returned to sender. When the package still was not returned yesterday, we drove to the post office to see what happened. Turns out all "return to sender" mail goes through Atlanta! So we're waiting for today's mail to see what happened. Since I addressed the package, it's not looking good for me.

Regardless of the fate of the package, we did sing to Jackson on Wednesday. I'm sure he enjoyed that. And we wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY and many more to come.
