Tuesday night our Birmingham grandkids threatened their neighbors with tricks if they weren't treated well. Jackson (15) was dressed as a character from "The Office". I don't watch that program, so I'll just have to take his word for it. We were told by Margaret that John Michael (12) was dressed as a tourist. It wouldn't be a stretch to say he was dressed up as his Paw Paw on any given summer day. Margaret (8) is the tooth fairy. She's holding a giant toothbrush and is apparently in charge of the candy. Or does she just put the lost teeth in that blue pumpkin?

At Nancy's physical therapy the next day, I happened to be in the waiting room when Nancy came walking through with JUST A CANE. That was a first. Melissa wondered when her mom would be testing herself for a black belt. Whatever. Another milestone toward recovery.
