Thank You!

It's now been almost 3 months since Nancy fell in Michigan, injuring her neck, and causing her to be almost paralyzed from her neck down. Surgery 4 days later stabilized the cracked vertebrae and pointed the way toward recovery. Fifteen days after the accident, she was transported by ambulance from Lansing to Huntsville and spent the next 5 weeks in HealthSouth Rehab Hospital. She's been home since September 28 and for the past 6 weeks has been "enjoying" physical/occupational therapy at Huntsville Hospital.

Throughout that 3 month period, she received well wishes and promises of prayers from family members and good friends from all across the country. On her worst days your thoughts and prayers lifted her spirits and encouraged her to continue working hard toward recovery. That basket full of cards was just the tip of the iceberg. Phone calls, texts, emails, and personal visits had that same positive effect. She has a goal. I think she's ahead of the curve toward meeting that goal, and we have all your thoughts and prayers to thank for that.

One other thing...from me. To the dozen or so people who dropped by with meals, many thanks. I like to cook, but an occasional break from the kitchen is good.

We're doing well. Thanks again.
