On Thursday Nancy and I drove to Birmingham for a short visit with Mark, Jenny, and the kids. Well, actually, Mark's not here. He headed out of town right after we arrived to make a presentation at the Kansas and Missouri Society of Orthodontists annual meeting. He's due back this evening. Back to Thursday: that evening Jenny and I drove through rush hour traffic to watch Jackson's middle school track team compete in the state championship finals. Jackson's event is the high jump. He said he didn't do very well, only able to clear 5 feet, but his team won the state championship!!! Congrats. Let me say that again: he cleared FIVE FEET. Excuse me while I picture myself jumping that high. I don't think so.

This morning while everyone was getting dressed for the day, me and my new bud were killing some time and watching a little TV. Nancy showed up and took this picture. His name is Reecee. He's actually Jenny's dog, but I think he likes my lap.
