Christmas Cactus Indeed

It's called a Christmas cactus, and this year it bloomed right on time. Joan, one of Nancy's friends and fellow stitcher, gave her this plant several years ago. Nancy's taken good care of it, and every Christmas season it rewards her with blossoms like those above.

We had a nice week. We stayed home for Christmas, but twice during the week I drove Nancy to the Med Mall for physical therapy. Nancy has, for the last week or so, been able to walk around with confidence using only a cane. Her goal was to be able to walk by Christmas. I think she's ahead of schedule.

Just an aside: before we traveled to Pennsylvania and Michigan in August, we bought an air fryer. It's been sitting in the garage in it's box since it was delivered 5 months ago. Last night I broke it out and cooked French fries to go along with our steak dinner. It actually worked. I put it back in the box in the garage because it's a big, bulky thing, and there's no place in the kitchen to store it. I'll get it out again real soon.
