OK. Just one more picture from our reunion/celebration at WaterColor Beach in Florida. We all got together at the end of June to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, which is actually coming in September, because, in September, school and work would find everyone, except Nancy and me, too busy for a proper celebration. Whew! I think I said all that in an earlier post.
As for the picture above, to the left of us is our son Mark's family, and to the right is our daughter Melissa's family. Left to right: John Michael (12) is going into 6th grade this year but spends a lot of his free time playing tennis. Margaret is 8 and begins 3rd grade next Thursday. (Aside: Huntsville city schools started LAST Wednesday! I don't remember exactly when school started for me when I was a kid, but I do know it was AFTER Labor Day.) Jackson, right above Margaret in the picture, will be 15 in a couple weeks and is a high school freshman. If you kept track, that's 3 different schools located in 3 different parts of town. Jenny, next in the picture and Mark's wife, does lots of driving. Mark is an orthodontist and has a practice in Vestavia Hills, Alabama.
Next in the picture are Nancy and me. I discovered this morning that I didn't finish doing nothing yesterday, so I have to pick up where I left off last night. Nancy keeps herself busy with her friends and family and trying to stay healthy. I do play a lot of duplicate bridge.
To the right of us in the picture is our daughter Melissa. She works for U-Haul at their corporate headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona, and lives in Mesa. I'm sure she is partially, if not completely, responsible for how well U-Haul is doing on the stock exchange. Next to Melissa is her close friend Chris and his son Noa (14). Yes, they are both pretty tall. Savannah, who just turned 21, is next. She's about to begin her senior year at the University of Arizona in Tucson. And rounding out the picture is Ian (18) who graduated from high school this year and will begin his freshman year at Arizona State University.
