On Thursday Nancy and I flew to Mesa, Arizona, to visit our daughter Melissa and grandchildren Savannah and Ian. Ian is a football player and a senior at Dessert Ridge High School, and we timed our visit to see one of his games. He's the starting center for the Jaguars and one of the team captains. The team they played last night was ranked #1 in Arizona. Since Dessert Ridge was ranked #2, the game promised to be a good one. It was, but Ian's team came out on the short end. Ian played well, and we were proud of him. More about our visit next week.
