Last Sunday we helped celebrate John Michael's 11th birthday. We drove to Birmingham for the day that included a brunch and a birthday cookie. We raced the rainstorms home around dinner time.

The rest of the week pretty much centered around Nancy having jury duty. Unlike my last experience, where I sat in the jury waiting room for 3 days without being assigned to a case, Nancy was given a jury assignment on the very first day. And it's not over yet. She has to return for at least one more day on Monday. I have no details because she's not allowed to talk about what's going on. However, she has discovered several nice places around the courthouse to enjoy a good meal. I'll have more details next week.
