Wednesday is Veterans Day. The only WWII vet in our immediate family is Nancy's Dad, Mike Kozak, shown in both pictures above. According to writing on the back of the first picture, it was taken on August 16, 1941. He joined the Army Air Corp on March 20, 1941, and was honorably discharged on 25 October 1945. He served as an aerial gunner, perhaps, on the bomber he's next to in the second picture. For the record, he was never deployed to either front. There are many more vets in our extended family, and we are proud of them all.
