Nancy made up her mind several years ago to renovate our computer/sun room or, what I've called for ever, our beer mirror room. Mainly, she's always wanted to get rid of the paneling. Well, a couple weeks ago, we decided the time had come, so the first thing to move was the computer station. Here I am, sitting in front of my laptop, in the dining room. Now we just have to figure out where to put the rest of the stuff. The workers will be here the first week in June.
One early decision we face is what to do with the thousands of pictures we have stored not only in the beer mirror room but throughout the house. That includes 8mm movies from the 50s and 60s and VHS tapes from the 70s and 80s. This week I went through ALL of our slides and ended up scanning about 1 in 20. However, there's still no light at the end of the tunnel. One issue: there's apparently no way to recycle all that paper. Film and pictures have chemicals that can't be reused. Who knew?
