Last Sunday was Mother's Day, so we dug up a couple of pictures of our mothers holding the precious little packages that would one day grow up to be us. The picture on the left was taken on my birthday in March of 1944. I think that's true because I have another picture showing me in the same outfit sitting behind a birthday cake with 2 candles. The picture of Nancy and her mom was taken in late January 1944. I know that because her mom wrote on the back of the picture that Nancy was 10 weeks old when the picture was taken. For the record, my mother was Margery (McCullough) Yanosky of Nanty-Glo PA and Nancy's mother was Mary (Novak) Kozak of Gallitzin PA.
