The metal roof is still fine, but the rubber on the flat roof on the back of our house was wearing out and leaking. On Thursday the workers showed up and within a few hours removed the old roof and put this white one in its place. I'll let you know how things go after our next heavy rain. You might be wondering just how I got this picture. I'm not that tall, but I do have a drone that, with a temporary fix, was able to fly just high enough to get this shot.
Thursday was also the 10th anniversary of my first post to this web site. Since then, with only a few exceptions, I have posted one or more pictures every week. As of this morning, the site has 1,804 files located in 70 folders. More than 800 pictures. I know! I can't believe it either. And what really surprises and pleases me is that this web site has been visited more than 17,000 times. The picture to the right was taken after Nancy and I were dressed to attend the TBE Christmas party and was the picture I used for my first post.
I don't know how many times this "blog" has been used to help us recall the exact date for some event. Sometimes it's even helped us establish the right year for something like buying a new car. Who knew it would be so useful.
