On Wednesday Nancy and I drove to Birmingham to spend a few days with the kids while Mark and Jenny took a well deserved R&R in the Cayman Islands. After school on Thursday Jackson (12) set up the chess board and called out a challenge. I accepted. I will say this, he is getting better.

Friday Jackson brought home a report card with all As. Wow! Good job, Jackson. There was some debate about a computer game (rated "teen") he was interested in, but those straight As carried the day. We bought it for him on Sunday.

Oh, I failed to mention that it's Monday and I just got home from Birmingham. I didn't have in Birmingham what I needed to post on Saturday. So I'm a couple days late. I have a few more pictures from our trip that I plan to post over the next week or two.
