Yesterday was Nancy's birthday. We celebrated by going to Logan's Roadhouse for dinner followed by a Huntsville Chamber Music Guild concert by the Assad Brothers, a classic guitar duo from Brazil. They're nothing short of terrific. They announced, toward the end of their concert, that they have been playing together for 49 years! If you ever get a chance to see them in concert, don't pass it up.

The real birthday surprise came last Monday. Jenny and I planned for a surprise visit by our grandkids from Brimingham. Jackson, John Michael, and Margaret showed up right around dinner time, so I picked up a couple pizzas from Papa John's. I also bought one of their mega chocolate chip cookies to serve as a birthday cake. Plug in 1 candle. Sing the song. Snap a picture. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Nancy.
