Huntsville Snow Day

I hate to even bring up our snow day when we have so many family members and friends who live in parts of the country where they measure snow in feet and not inches. In any event, Thursday morning last week we woke up to 6 inches of wet, sloppy snow in our back yard. Just off the top of my head we haven't had more than a hand full of snow days since we moved to Huntsville in 1972. I can handle that. It lasted only a few hours, and by mid-afternoon, all but a few clumps of snow had melted. Of course, at least for Thursday morning, Huntsville was closed for business.

For the record, on the 10th of this month I had surgery on my left ear to remove an infected cyst. All is well, and I'm healing nicely. However, next week I'm having my hearing tested as a first step toward getting hearing aids. I'm hoping for some relief from my tinnitus, better known as ringing in the ears.
