Our oldest grandson Ian (14) starts at left guard on Desert Ridge High School's freshman football team. That's in Mesa, Arizona. So far this young season they have a 2 and 1 record. They say you have to be pretty smart to play on the offensive line, and Ian is no exception. He's still pounding out the good grades while taking AP courses in the school's engineering program. Thanks to our daughter Melissa who took this picture on Wednesday.

I surprised Nancy last Monday with a bouquet of flowers in celebration of our 46th wedding anniversary. That's right. That picture at the top left of this page was taken 46 years ago. So let's hear a big HAPPY ANNIVERSARY for Nancy and me. Thanks.
