
Yesterday Nancy and I did a little shopping. To begin with, I dropped her off at Madison Square Mall so she could shop while I enjoyed lunch with a friend from my old company. I caught up with her about an hour later, and we headed off to Bridge Street, another big shopping area. While she was in one of the stores, I watched a couple guys put up this artificial tree. It has a metal skeleton, and the workers just pushed the already decorated branches into slots on the skeleton. But my thought was "Already?" There it is. The Scrooge in me is coming out...already!
On Tuesday I had an early morning colonoscopy. Before the doctor got started I asked him to search for a shoe that Nancy lost the other day while trying to get me moving a little faster on one of her projects. He wanted to know, if he found it, if he should return it to her! The good news is that he found nothing unusual, and I don't have a go-back for another 5 years.
Another wicket passed this Wednesday. Those of you on Medicare know what this time of the year is. Well we selected our coverage for next year. Now we don't have to worry about that any more. Phew!! For those of you NOT yet on Medicare, the choices are not as easy as you might think.
Last night we attended a concert by the Ying Quartet. We both enjoyed all 4 pieces played by this group. I especially liked the Beethoven quartet composed during his early period. I actually listened to 24 lectures by Professor Robert Greenberg devoted entirely to Beethoven's 16 string quartets. Such fun...
