On Tuesday we invited our former neighbors from our house on Louis Drive for dinner. We lived next door to Pat and her husband Al from January 1973 until we moved into our current home in September 1995. Nancy prepared a fine meal of pork loin, sauerkraut, and all the trimmings, which everyone enjoyed. Al and I finished off the meal with a little Gentleman Jack.

We did our best not to bring up all the ailments we face as we grow older and talked mostly about the kids and grandkids and trips we plan to take in the near future. We also reminisced about the years our 2 children and their 2 boys and 1 girl grew up in that neighborhood. While we talked we watched DWTS and cheered when the winner was announced.

I hope they enjoyed their visit as much as we did. It's amazing how time flies. It seems like only yesterday that we moved away from that neighborhood.
