Last Friday (Nov 2) Nancy and I drove to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, for a week long reunion with Nancy's sister Elaine and husband Karl and Nancy's cousin Becky and husband Orville. We returned yesterday after a week of fun shows, interesting shopping, good meals, and lots of catching up. Oh yes, the leaves were at their peak. Colors everywhere. Our son Mark told an interesting story this week. Through his orthodontics practice he started a Halloween candy buy-back program. He gave points to his patients who brought their candy to his office. You can read all about it and see pictures on his Facebook page. But the bottom line was a staggering 300 pounds of candy! He's planning to turn over the candy to our military for delivery overseas. Well done!
