Mark and Jenny spent last weekend in Florida with some friends while Jackson, John Michael, and Margaret spent the weekend with us. On Saturday we loaded up the kids and drove to the Civic Center in downtown Huntsville to attend the final rehearsal of the Huntsville Symphony for their performance that evening. We left before the end when it became apparent that Margaret, who will be 3 in February, wasn't all that interested. We then walked to Big Spring Park. That's Nancy and the kids feeding the local goose and pigeon population. I was surprised at how well everybody handled being surrounded by angry birds. (Did you smile?) We returned the grandkids to their parents Sunday evening.

Our landscapers began work around the outside of our house this week. The original estimate was 2 days to complete. Yesterday was their third day, and they're planning to come back on Monday and Tuesday to complete the job. I'll have pictures next week.
