A week in Sevierville

Last Sunday we joined Nancy's sister Elaine and her husband Karl in Sevierville, Tennessee, for a few days of rest and relaxation. We shared a very nice, two bedroom, condo at the Wyndham Smoky Mountains Resort just off the main road in Sevierville. We stayed close to home until Tuesday evening when we drove to the Miracle Theater in Pigeon Forge where we enjoyed a musical called Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. It's an updated retelling of the story of Joseph of Genesis fame. An example of "updated" is the Egyptian Pharaoh being played by an Elvis impersonator. An interesting twist, right?

We enjoyed at least one stage show, some shopping, fine dining either out or in the condo, mostly cooked by chef Karl, but I was bus boy and dishwasher on those days.

We returned to Huntsville yesterday in time for a Huntsville Chamber Music Guild concert last night. I have a couple more pictures from our Tennessee trip, but I think I'll save them for next weekend. Enjoy!
