At the beginning of this week the outside temperature was safely into the 90s by mid-afternoon. By yesterday the temperature barely got into the 70s, and over-night it dropped into the 40s. Fall is here, and I hope it stays around for a while.

After Mark, Jenny, and the kids left last Sunday, we started doing some things around the house, which I bet are of no real interest to anyone but us. I'm slowly replacing the mesh screen weed blocker under the rocks and stones across the front of our house, and I put up a new light fixture in the kitchen. On Thursday we met with a rep to discuss upgrading our home alarm system. Friday we got flu shots. Things like that. As I said, not a very interesting week.

As for the picture, well the leaves in north Alabama haven't started changing just yet. This picture was taken in Tennessee several years ago. I just had Fall on my mind.
