Last night Nancy and I went to the Flying Monkey Arts Center Theater at Lowe Mill to see Zapatos Perdidos in concert. Rather than spend a lot of time trying to explain, here are links to the Flying Monkey and Lowe Mill web sites. Those are two rather interesting places in Huntsville. Actually, the Flying Monkey is on the second floor of the Lowe Mill, which is an old, built in 1900 and no longer in use, textile mill. Just walking through Lowe Mill is a rather interesting experience.

Zapatos Perdidos is a classical guitar duo comprising Phil Weaver and Emily Jones. I take weekly lessons from Phil who is on the faculty at the University of Alabama at Huntsville. Their concerts at the Flying Monkey are very informal and enjoyable. You can see and hear them play one of Nancy's favorites (Cavatina by Stanley Meyer) at this YouTube site. Phil is the one on the left.
