The first official days of Spring were this week, and it snowed in Huntsville. Those little white streaks in the picture are snowflakes. I suppose that people who live a little further north wouldn't call that snow, especially since it stopped about 3 minutes after I took this picture. It rained after that. As an aside: can you see the face in the tree? The owl on the porch? And the nice lady in the window?

It's been a slow week. We're both getting over colds that we've had for more than a week. Nancy did get to the Veterans Administration office yesterday. I dropped her off and drove to the Toyota dealership responding to the recall on our Prius. I left the dealership about an hour later, drove downtown, and parked in front of the VA. As I was getting out of the car, Nancy walked out of the office. What good timing. Why the VA? Nancy's mother is in an assisting living facility in PA, and since Nancy's dad is a veteran of WWII, her mom is eligible for a small pension to help cover the costs of the assisting living facility. There's a lot of paperwork, as you might imagine. But we're almost home with the VA.
