Tremendous Treehouses

The Huntsville Botanical Garden Spring event this year is "Tremendous Treehouses". While Mark and Jenny were skiing in Colorado, their kids were enjoying a Spring Break vacation at our home. What better outing than a trek through the Botanical Garden climbing into and out of the 12 treehouses located throughout the garden.

They don't look much like treehouses since they aren't actually IN the trees. They are, more or less, AMONG the trees, however, and Jackson, John Michael and I did hike to each one. The top one pictured here is called "Not in Kansas Anymore", and if you look sharply near the boy's feet, you'll see the legs of the wicked witch sticking out from under the crooked house. The treehouse on the right is called "Trading Post". A few of the other treehouses can be seen here.

The boys and their sister Margaret were with us until Thursday morning when they were picked up by their parents and returned to Birmingham.

This is March 20th, and 17 years ago today our daughter Melissa was married to her husband Treacey. Four days later they packed up and moved to Arizona where they are still married and still living. Happy Anniversary!
