Star Wars II

Soon after we returned John Michael to Birmingham, Jackson (almost 8) came for a 5-day visit. On Wednesday, between rain on Tuesday and Thursday, Nancy took Jackson to the Space and Rocket Center to see the Star Wars exhibit. They were gone for nearly 5 hours, so one has to assume every-body had a good time. That makes one-on-one visits with three of our five grandkids this summer. Sweet!

When the boys were visiting, they spent a lot of their time at the kitchen table playing with LEGO construction toys, which, coincidentally, were mostly Star Wars based. Our oldest grandson Ian allowed us to bring back to Huntsville his collection, which he's outgrown. In addition, Nancy had carefully preserved Mark's LEGO toys. We could have built a nice size house with the combination. Both Jackson and John Michael displayed their very creative imaginations with the items they each built during their stays with us.

This was the week that we finally decided to get a flat screen TV and digital HD cable. The new TV was delivered on Thursday, and I asked the delivery guys to carry our old TV to the van in our garage. Yesterday, when we returned Jackson to his parents in Birmingham, we brought the old TV with us. It's now in Mark's house. It should be noted that neither Mark nor I suffered any pulled muscles getting it into the house.
