This past Wednesday Nancy and I quietly lunched at the Macaroni Grill celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary. We haven't told the kids that we had lunch because they already tease us about going to dinner tooooo early.

We usually celebrate with a good meal somewhere when we both remember. "Remember" being the operative word here. I guess we won't quite get over the fact that last year we both, yes BOTH, actually forgot our anniversary. Thank God we BOTH did it. That cancelled out any hard feelings. Nancy's Mom wished us a "Happy Anniversary" on that day, and we were both dumbfounded. In our defense we were occupied with family. Nancy's Mom and Aunt Nina were visiting at the time.
