Mark, Jenny, Jackson (7), John Michael (4), and Margaret (9 months) drove up from Birmingham on Wednesday afternoon for a 3-day visit. Nancy got up bright and early Thursday morning to prepare the turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie, and a number of side dishes and desserts. By mid-afternoon all was ready, but before bringing the food to the table, we all gathered around for a family picture. Nancy and I were particularly happy to share this first Thanksgiving with our youngest grandchild and, of course, her family.

You probably noticed the strange appearance of our dining room walls. We are in the midst of remodeling. The old wallpaper has been removed, but we hope to have the new paper up in time for Christmas.
