Our Clematis Vine

This was a work-around-the-house week. The list of chores included painting the patio furniture, power washing the patio itself, and then sealing the brick surface. I made a repair to the underside of our bay window. The original builder left that part of the house unfinished, and this past winter the plywood started to fall out. I dug up a bunch of azaleas in our front yard, transplanting a few to the back yard and giving away the others. In a couple weeks about a million blueberries will ripen on our bushes. I hope they taste as good as they look...although they are still a bit green. And while I was salivating over the blueberries, Nancy took the picture above of her clematis vine.

This is our happy granddaughter. Savannah has a new dog she calls Rhino. Melissa sent us this picture so we could share the good news with all of you!

One final note: if you recall, I said last week that I broke my laptop and it took DELL 16 days to affect a repair. I wasn't happy about that. Well, six days after I got it back, the video card died. It was probably related to the previous incident. That happened on Thursday. Exactly 24 hours later, the DELL repairman was at the house, and an hour later I was up and running on my laptop. The extra money I paid for DELL's "Complete Care" warrantee was money well spent.
