Dual Purpose

Nancy and I drove to Birmingham yesterday to keep an appoint-ment with an endodontist. A couple weeks ago, while eating dinner, I bit down on something unexpectedly hard and injured a tooth. After several visits to our dentist, it was decided that I needed a root canal. Mark arranged for me to be seen by one of his friends in Birmingham, so we were able to combine that particularly unappealing dental procedure with a visit to the home of Mark, Jenny, Jackson, John Michael, and Meg.

If you are a regular visitor to this site, you'll recall that Margaret or Meg was born this year on Valentine's Day. So she's just shy of 4 months old and doing just fine. In the pictures above, she's enjoying a few moments on Paw Paw's lap. I was able to get a smile or two from her while Nancy snapped pictures over my shoulder.

Later last evening, after Meg's big brothers were ready for bed, Nancy took their picture as they headed up the stairs. Jackson is going to be 7 in a couple of months and John Michael just turned 4 last month. In their shark PJs, they look like they're ready for another trip to the beach!
