Children of the Corn

No, we're not in Iowa!

Amazingly, directly across the highway from the entrance to our daughter Melissa's neighborhood and entirely within the city limits of Mesa, Arizona, is a square half mile of corn. It's not there anymore having been completely harvested in the last two days. Before they took it all down, however, I took a picture because I never expected to see that much corn in Arizona. Nancy and I are pictured above with our Arizona grandchildren; Savannah, who is about to celebrate her 13th birthday, and Ian age 10. For those of you who keep track of such things, note that Savannah is every bit as tall as Grandma. None of us, however, are as tall as the corn.
