This was one of those slow weeks that occur every now and then. We're between trips and visits. After we returned form Arizona a couple weeks ago, we were visited by Jackson and John Michael. They stayed with us for a few days while Jenny and Mark were in Florida. Nancy returned them to Birmingham on Monday, and now we await the arrival of Nancy's sister Elaine and her husband Karl. We expect them tomorrow. Like I said, a slow week.

So here's a picture from New Year's Eve taken by Melissa during our Arizona visit. I think Nancy looks more ready for 2009 than I. Although I do have the wine and one of those blow out thingies that curls like a snake.

Today is also my sister Barbara's birthday. The latest picture I have of her can be found in the archives. So a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Barb from the two of us.
